Picnic at the Bishop’s Ranch
on July 5!

July 5 will be a very special day at The Bishop’s Ranch as we gather from throughout the Diocese to formally dedicate the new William and Mary Swing Pavilion. We hope that you will mark your calendars now and make plans to attend.  Both Bishop Marc Andrus and retired Bishop William Swing will be on hand for this long awaited event.

We will start our program on July 5 with the building dedication. Please plan to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the lawns of the Ranch following the dedication. Afternoon activities will include .

• Cajun/Zydeco dance band
• organic pie contest
• organic Straus Family Creamery ice cream
• carriage and pony rides
• petting zoo
• games for all ages
• demonstration booths
• animal exhibits; big cats, snakes, birds
• special activities for children
• Walden Marionettes
• local organic produce for sale
• swimming at the pool
• paper hat making and face painting
• bee hive demonstration

Bring your water bottles to fill from dispensers.  A panel of judges will determine the winners of the organic pie contest, after which the pies will be offered as dessert to those attending the picnic.  If you would like to enter and donate a home-baked organic pie download the entry form here.
